GSS was established in 1998 and continues to grow from strength to strength with the support and leadership of its core team.

Neil Townson

Neil is a Chartered Accountant and spent over ten years working in private practice for large and medium sized firms, before becoming Financial Director and Company Secretary of a rubber trading company, where he was involved in the establishment of a trade receivables securitisation facility.

Neil joined GSS in 2000 and is now its Managing Director . He has experience as a seller, a programme administrator, an independent director, a trustee and a company secretary. He is also responsible for providing our accounting services to special purpose vehicle companies.

Brian James

A founder director of GSS, Brian has over 25 years experience in banking and structured finance. He has extensive international experience in structuring, execution and administration of transactions and has acted in both issuer and arranger capacities. Prior to founding GSS, Brian was head of securitisation for Rabobank International. His current role at GSS focuses on the development of the business both in the UK and overseas.

Shirley Fleming

A founder director of GSS, Shirley previously worked in the Securitisation team at Rabobank International.

As well as acting as an independent director, Shirley is responsible for providing our company secretarial services to special purpose vehicle companies.

Robin Thorogood

Prior to joining GSS in 1999, Robin spent the preceding twenty-five years in banking. He has wide experience of international capital markets via investment banking transaction management and as a corporate trustee. He was formally a Director of JP Morgan Trustees Limited and of Citicorp Trustee Company Limited.

Since joining GSS, Robin has acted as an independent director for a number of special purpose vehicle companies established in connection with structured finance and other transactions.

Mia Drennan

Mia is a former banker and structured finance professional with over 15 years of City experience most recently at The Bank of New York Mellon, Citibank, Simmons & Simmons and KPMG.

During her career Mia has worked on and been involved with a number of high profile financing transactions for banks, financial institutions and corporations across the EMEA region. Mia is also part of the European Securitisation Forum, The Association of Corporate Trustees and a regular contributor to trade journals.
